Real Carbon, Real Gains
Dinan's been the standard for BMW performance for over 35 years. This isn't a cheap aluminum pipe with a cone filter bolted on. The entire intake system is constructed from aircraft-grade carbon fiber with precision injection-molded MAF housings that are larger than stock. The carbon fiber intake tube follows an optimized path that reduces turbulence and resistance compared to the factory plastic routing.
Sealed System, Cold Air Only
The factory intake works fine until you start pushing the car. Then heat soak becomes the problem. Dinan's system is completely sealed like the factory setup, but better. It pulls cold air from outside the engine bay through an enlarged airbox with a larger conical filter. No hot engine compartment air gets in. The system keeps all four factory air inlets functional and adds supplemental carbon fiber ducts at the front of the engine bay.
Dyno-proven gains of 8hp and 6 lb-ft on the M2, even more on other N55 platforms. The power curve is smoother and throttle response is sharper. You'll also get a more aggressive induction note under load without any drone.
Installation and Warranty
Bolt-on installation in under an hour. Note that M2 and convertible models require modification to a factory chassis brace - detailed instructions are included. All mounting hardware and quality silicone couplers included. Raised Dinan logos are laminated directly into the carbon fiber.
