Engine and Transmission Mount Kit - 034

The engine mounts on the E9X M3 are a carryover from the previous two generations of M3's and because of that, they suffer the exact same problems. The right-side engine mount is always compressed when the drivetrain is loaded and it begins to lose its clearance over time. In extreme situations, the engine mount can physically split. When the engine mounts degrade it can become difficult to shift into 3rd gear in a 6 speed manual transmission car when the drivetrain is loaded up (acceleration) due to excessive drivetrain movement/misalignment.

The factory engine mounts are only good for about 50,000 miles under ideal conditions. While factory engine mounts are a perfectly fine replacement there are many alternates on the market that offer some advantages over the factory mounts in terms of durability improvements and overall better feel. This kit includes 034Motorsport Street Density engine and transmission mounts which are manufactured from 55-durometer rubber, which is a significant upgrade from the rubber used in-stock BMW mounts. Since the mounts are also void-free and solid-filled, the resulting mount is substantially stiffer than stock, without introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. The mount bodies are made from high-quality steel using OEM production techniques.

The result is greatly reduced drivetrain slop, crisper shifting, and minimal wheel hop, without any noticeable increase in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH) inside of the cabin. The solid rubber, void-free, and fluid-free design eliminate the possibility of leakage and collapse, which is a very common issue with factory mounts.

This kit also includes all the required replacement hardware needed for installing the new mounts on an E9X M3.
